Sinuhe Villegas is originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco. A self-taught painter, although he studied plastic arts for only one year, he did not complete his training. It has been through the books and exhibitions in which he has had the opportunity to go. His plastic language has been formed through great painters, poets and musicians, whom he admires, some of them being Rembrandt, Picasso, Frans Hals, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Utrillo, Soutine, Modigliani, among others. Most of his work is self-portraits, since with this exercise he tries to get a state of mind, being practically a diary of his life and feelings. Among his exhibitions, it is worth mentioning at the Zihuatanejo House of Culture in 1998, selected for the José Atanasio Monroy painting award in 2003, selected on just over nine occasions at the Salón de Octubre with an honorable mention in 2013 exhibiting at the Ruiz Rojo Gallery, Adriana Valdés Gallery, Juan Soriano Gallery, Azul Gallery, Jurists Gallery, Uno de Puerto Vallarta Gallery and Ex Convento del Carmen, as well as endless national and international group shows, in Paris and Barcelona to mention some.
